Welcome to the World of a RUNetarian

A RUNetarian is comprised of two things: run + -etarian
Run can be defined many ways, for example:
As a verb: “to go steadily by springing steps so that both feet leave the ground for an instant in each step” or “to go without restraint : move freely about at will”
As a noun: “continued rapid movement”
And the suffix -arian can mean believer, advocate, or producer.

So I guess you could say I am a believer, advocate, and producer of running. Alternatively, you could say I am a vegetarian who runs, otherwise labeled as a No Meat Athlete. Yet another way to think about it is a person who sustains life on a diet of running. It’s up to you to define what you think a RUNetarian is, but I am one.

This blog aims to tell about the life of a RUNetarian and my experiences in eating, running, living, and learning as such. My goal is to share some of my experiences to invoke discussion or a sense of connection for other runners along the way. As Gerard Butler’s character says in Chasing Mavericks, there are four pillars of humanity – the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. There will also be plenty of photos from my runs and food I eat along the way.
